I graduated in Molecular Biology at Stockholm
University in 2009. My Bachelor project was about a DNA-repair
protein that is important for removing UV-induced lesion from the genome of TK-6 cells.
This was performed in Siamak Haghdoosts group
of the Institute for Genetics, Microbiology and
ToxicologyThe results of my BSc project were
published in Mutation Research.

From 2009 to 2010 I attended the MSc
Radiobiology course at UCL London.
In 2010 I did my MSc reseach project about Mapping susceptibility genes for Thyroid
uptake of radioiodine in mice" at the Helmholtz-Center Munich, Institute of Radiobiology in the Group
Radiation Carcinogenesis.
Since 2011 I am PhD student at Stockholm
University, Department of Genetics, Microbiology and
Toxicology.
Here I do research on the effects of UV-A radiation on human cells and
try to understand the process of DNA mutations leading to skin
cancer. For the presentation of my first results at the 14th International Congress of
Radiation Research I received an ERSS students award.
